Reducing importance, not dropping care

Reducing importance does not mean ceasing to care.

Teaching

Reducing importance does not mean ceasing to care. Indifference collapses intention and produces nothing. The aim is a third state: calm clarity, where the goal is held precisely but without inflated weight. You still act, still intend, still choose — but without the desperate squeeze that creates excess potential. This is importance coordination in its simplest form: holding what matters as if it matters, not as if it is life or death.

Practice · 3 min

Pick the tensest item on your mind right now. Mentally assign it the importance of a routine errand. Then act on it normally, without either inflating or abandoning it.

Evening reflection

Can you care about something fully without making it heavier than it is?
