Teaching
Excess potential is the tension you create whenever you give something disproportionate weight. It does not stay still: the field restores balance through forces that usually work against whoever made the tension. A person who worships an idealised partner invites betrayal; a parent who idolises a child invites trouble; a dreamer who inflates a goal invites obstacles. The backlash is not bad luck — it is the field's equilibrium responding to your push. Lowering importance is the first defence.
Practice · 3 min
Recall one situation that backfired because you wanted it too much. Trace the backlash to your own excess potential, not to bad luck or to other people.
Evening reflection
Where did your own inflated importance attract the opposite of what you wanted?
