Importance makes problems

Importance, internal or external, is the original source of most problems.

Teaching

Importance, internal or external, is the original source of most problems. When you inflate the weight of a desire, a fear, a judgement or a piece of self-image, you create excess potential — energetic tension in the field. The field then answers with balancing forces that oppose your push. This is why the harder you cling, the more it slips, and why overvaluing an outcome so often produces its opposite. The world does not punish you; it re-equilibrates the tension you introduced.

Practice · 3 min

Name one thing you have inflated today — a hope, a worry, a judgement. On the exhale, mentally assign it ordinary importance, like the importance of ordering a coffee.

Evening reflection

What did you inflate today that you could let return to ordinary size?
