Design vs. condition

One of the forty concepts of the practice.

Design is the information pattern of something — its appearance, luck, circumstances. Condition is the inner state of the observer. Adjusting the condition realigns the design you meet; the design alone cannot be rearranged to last.

Apply today

Pick a situation whose outer design you keep trying to fix. Instead, tend your inner condition toward it for a moment and let the design follow.

Common pitfall

Improving only the outer design and expecting it to hold. Without a matching condition, the old design seeps back.
